Specific Initiatives
Focus on reducing County operational costs and redundancies.
Revive focus on residential development as opposed to commercial and large residential complexes.
Facilitate County transactions by eliminating extra debit and credit card fees for residents.
Fund land easements and land/water conservation initiatives using State of MN and/or Metropolitan Council grants.
Create a fund to support Washington County college graduates' start-up business initiatives.
Properly staff and manage the Licensing Centers.
Realign Human Services with residents' needs and emphasize face-to-face eligibility and assessment services.
Review, update or eliminate inefficient computer systems.
Eliminate unacceptable delays at Licensing Centers and Social Services; increase home evaluations and services where needed.
WHY I'M QUALIFIED:
--Not a professional politician interested in long-term office holding.
--39 years in government finances and strategic operations serving North Dakota, Washington County and the Federal Government.
--Three years with Deloitte analyzing processes, organizational structures and financial systems, plus one year in oil-industry finance.
